ANV Group rebrands acquired workers' comp MGA as ANV Comp

ANV Group Holdings has rebranded Specialty Comp Insurance Solutions as ANV Comp, according to Coverager, completing the integration of the workers' compensation managing general agent it acquired in June.
Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Dallas, ANV Comp generated approximately $250 million in gross written premium in 2025, Coverager reported. The MGA writes monoline workers' compensation coverage for middle-market employers exclusively through wholesale brokers, with capacity backed by an A-rated carrier. Its book spans construction, utilities, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, equipment rental, waste management, forestry, oil and gas, and aviation, among other sectors.
Robert Etzler, who joined ANV in March, will lead ANV Comp. He will also oversee Risico, ANV's separate workers' compensation MGA focused on agriculture and food manufacturing. Coverager noted that Etzler previously held leadership roles at Arrowhead, Atlas General, Midwestern Insurance Alliance, and Paragon. Mike Beck continues as chief field underwriting officer, and Matt Feury will serve as senior vice president of underwriting.
The rebrand is a straightforward post-acquisition alignment move, but the scale of the platform is worth noting. Two workers' comp MGAs under one leadership team, with a combined book that includes both middle-market generalist and agricultural specialty business, gives ANV a meaningful footprint in a line that rewards deep sector expertise and consistent carrier relationships. Whether Etzler runs the two units with shared infrastructure or keeps them operationally distinct will be a practical question for wholesale brokers placing business with either.
For brokers currently working with ANV Comp or Risico, the leadership structure and carrier capacity appear unchanged by the rebrand. The name is new; the underwriting team and the A-rated paper behind it are not. That said, any rebrand creates a window where brokers should confirm submission contacts, system access, and certificate language are updated on their end.
Coverager did not report the identity of the A-rated carrier providing capacity, the terms of the original acquisition, or any premium volume figures for Risico.
